Our Lady of the Serra

It has protected the town of Calvi since the 15th century, perched on the hill whose name it bears. The best point of view  on the city.

The chapel is one of the city's sanctuaries. Built in 1479, it was destroyed during the siege of 1794, the hill overlooking the bay having been chosen by the English for its strategic position. The current chapel was built in 1850 on the ruins of the old sanctuary. On September 8, his famous pilgrimage for the birth of the Virgin remains an unmissable event.

Psssst! A legend has it that if you drive your other half there, you will ensure longevity and beauty to your story.
